Lafoy

The Lafoy Estate was established in 1993 by Jocelyne and Yves LAFOY, passionate winemakers continuing a legacy that spans over three generations in the Côte-Rôtie vineyard.
Since 2011, their son Gaëtan LAFOY has joined the estate and continues the work of his elders, releasing his first vintage in 2012.

Located in the heart of the village of Ampuis, the vines are planted on narrow terraces built on steep, dizzyingly sloped hillsides. The climate combines the warmth and sunshine of the Mediterranean with the freshness and humidity brought year-round by the continental influences from the Burgundy region further north.

The vineyard is currently in its final year of organic conversion and will be certified organic starting in 2025. Harvesting is done by hand when the grapes reach full maturity.

The hallmark of the estate is the production of wines that emphasize freshness, minerality, elegance, finesse, and harmony, all while respecting and expressing the unique characteristics of the terroir.

The estate produces red wines under the appellations Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph, and IGP des Collines Rhodaniennes, as well as white wines under the Condrieu appellation.
