Description

Presentation

This cuvée of Champagne from Agrapart, produced in the 2025 disgorgement, reflects the estate’s signature style: precise, dry and deeply expressive of its origins. Crafted as a non-vintage Brut bringing together fruit from seven villages, Pascal Agrapart Les 7 Crus Brut DG 2025 offers an elegant interpretation of the Côte des Blancs and surrounding terroirs, with a focus on tension, purity and finesse. It is a champagne for discerning enthusiasts who value balance over power and clarity of expression over opulence.

Origin and Production

  • The grapes come from selected crus in Champagne, with a strong presence of the Côte des Blancs, a region renowned for its chalky soils that impart exceptional minerality and freshness. These limestone-rich subsoils help the wines develop fine acidity and a saline, chiselled profile.
  • The cuvée is traditionally based on Chardonnay, complemented by a proportion of Pinot Noir and/or Meunier depending on the year. This blend brings together the tension and citrus-driven character of Chardonnay with the red-fruit depth and structure of the black varieties.
  • Vinification follows the house’s artisanal philosophy, favouring gentle pressing, long lees ageing and minimal intervention to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Part of the wines may be raised in tank and/or neutral oak, then blended with reserve wines before the second fermentation in bottle and extended ageing on lees, which adds complexity and texture without heaviness.

Tasting

  • Appearance
Pale gold robe with brilliant reflections, animated by a fine, persistent stream of bubbles that forms a delicate mousse, indicative of careful ageing on lees.
  • Nose
Expressive and refined, opening with citrus zest, white flowers and crunchy orchard fruits. With aeration, notes of fresh almond, brioche and chalky minerality emerge, drawing a precise, vertical aromatic profile.
  • Palate
The attack is straight and vibrant, carried by a finely chiselled acidity. The mid-palate combines juicy lemon, ripe apple and subtle stone-fruit nuances, supported by a distinct saline backbone. The dosage remains discreet, allowing the dry, elongated finish to showcase purity, tension and a lingering mineral imprint, typical of Pascal Agrapart Les 7 Crus Brut DG 2025.

Food Pairing & Ideal Moments

  • This Brut is a versatile gastronomic partner. It pairs beautifully with:
    • Seafood platters, oysters and shellfish
    • Light fish dishes, ceviche or sashimi
    • Poultry or veal in cream or citrus-accented sauces
    • Fresh cheeses or subtly aged soft cheeses
  • It is ideal as an aperitif for enthusiasts who appreciate structured, characterful champagnes, but also shines at the table throughout a refined meal. Serve it for celebratory occasions, intimate dinners or anytime you wish to highlight a carefully prepared dish with a precise, mineral wine.

Aging Potential and Service

  • The optimal drinking window begins from its release and extends comfortably over the next 5 to 7 years, during which the wine will gain complexity, with more pastry, nutty and honeyed nuances while retaining its backbone of freshness.
  • The aging potential is very good for a non-vintage Brut, especially given the strong presence of Chardonnay and the meticulous work in the vineyards and cellar. With a few years in the cellar, expect the texture to round out and the mineral character to integrate even more harmoniously.
  • Serve well-chilled but not icy, ideally between 9 and 11°C. Use fine, tulip-shaped wine glasses rather than narrow flutes to fully appreciate the aromatic complexity and the textural precision of Pascal Agrapart Les 7 Crus Brut DG 2025.
